The Groundbreaking ceremony of Hai Anh Wind Power Plant project in Quang Tri

On the morning of December 20, 2023, in Lao Bao town, Huong Hoa district, the groundbreaking ceremony of Hai Anh Wind Power Plant Project, invested by Hai Anh – Quang Tri Wind Power JSC. Attending the event were Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Vo Van Hung; Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council Nguyen Chien Thang; Secretary of Dong Ha City Party Committee Le Quang Chien.

Hai Anh Wind Power Plant project has a construction survey area of over 20 hectares, a capacity of 40 MW, and a total investment of over 1,500 billion VND. When the project comes into operation, it will provide the national electricity system with an average annual electricity output of about 120,000 MWh, generate revenue of more than 200 billion VND/year and contribute about 40 billion VND/year to the local budget.

Hai Anh Wind Power Plant project is expected to operate in September 2024, contributing to overcoming the electricity shortage in the region and the whole country, ensuring energy sources for socio-economic development of the province and region.

Speaking at the Groundbreaking Ceremony of Hai Anh Wind Power Plant Project, Mr. Vo Van Hung – Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People’s Committee required the investor to focus on mobilizing financial and human resources, fully preparing the best conditions for project construction to ensure quality, labor safety, environmental sanitation, and achieve and exceed the committed schedule. At the same time, request departments, branches, People’s Committee of Huong Hoa district, leaders of Huong Phung, Tan Thanh communes and Lao Bao town to consider this a key project of the province and district and actively coordinate closely with the investor to support and focus on solving difficulties and problems during the construction process, bringing the project into operation soon.

Mr. Quan Duy Hai – Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hai Anh – Quang Tri Wind Power JSC said that in the context of poor renewable energy projects, the commencement of construction of the Hai Anh Wind Power Plant project is extremely meaningful to the Company.

The investor has chosen the EPC general contractor joint venture that is IPC Construction Joint Stock Company and Asia Industrial Technology Joint Stock Company (ACIT) because of their experience, reputation, and leading reputation. leader in the field of operation. In addition, the project also receives great support from Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade and an experienced turbine manufacturing partner.

“We will mobilize all resources to carry out the bidding package, and will definitely bring the Hai Anh Wind Power Plant Project to its destination safely, with guaranteed quality and ahead of schedule. It is expected that the project will have commercial power generation (COD) before September 30, 2024,” Mr. Hai committed.

Also on this occasion, Hai Anh – Quang Tri Wind Power JSC awarded the People’s Committee of Lao Bao town the amount of 1.2 billion VND to build a welcome gate for Lao Bao town.
